Hello, this machine has 4 drawers. The top drawer works fine. The second drawer lifts up but says out of paper but it has paper. The third and fourth drawers dont lift and say out of paper. I was thinking maybe a connection problem between the drawers. I reseated board connections. I was going to get someone to help me lift machine off the drawers and check and reseat connections. Has anyone seen this problem or have other suggestions. Thanks for any help.

No lift is a bad upper limit sensor in the tray and the paper empty after lift is the paper empty sensor in the tray.
Sharp had some bad sensors and you must have a machine that was built at that time.
I also have a bunch of these machines. -

SIM 4-2 to test the individual optional (2-4) tray sensors.

Bad Sensors. I just replaced some today. I now carry 4 of each sensor listed in the bulletin in my van.Comment

Hello, I had already checked sensors and they were showing as bad.I thought it must have been a connection or board problem because to have 3 drawers all of a sudden not be working. This is a customer I dont normally go to, apparently the drawers must not have been working for a while. Cust only uses 8 1/2x11 so they didnt notice or say anything and other tech must never have tested drawers when there before. Well I went back and fixed by changing 5 sensors between 3 drawers. Even with my original thought on what the prob was I should have tried the sensors.Just letting you guys know what the problem was.Comment
