    Sharp MX-M283

Hi, Guys I need your advice. I have a couple of 283,363 and 503, most of them didn't reach copy life and become overtone. Thou i re-calibrate and make black copies still overtone will come. When I'm replacing the DV the value of Auto DV VO will 110-115 and Auto DV 95-100. Overtone value will be Auto DV VO will 140-170 and Auto DV 110-120. All firmware is updated even I try to replace the ATC but still thesame problem. Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks'...

If there is any gold showing through the green on the ends of the drum the machine will suck a bottle of toner a day. Maybe this is your problem.

All our consumables are originals...Maybe I need to replace the same time with consumables the Sub blade, Side seal F and Side seal R. Thanks' Mr. Ntbann for your Suggestion.

I think that you'll find that the developer doesn't make yield.

Another symptom to watch for is reminiscent of it's predecessor the AR-M550N. The waste toner will fill before the toner supply empties. Since there is not detection for the waste toner side, the waste toner drive backs up and starts to skip gears, clicking. Before I figured out the cause, I had three consecutive toner cartridges do this. My customer became attuned to recognizing this sound, and learned to switch cartridges before it got too backed up.

Only later on did I discover that overtoning developer was the cause. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Agree, and the toner cartridge should be removed during toner sense simulation.

                Re: Sharp MX-M283

My company has recently started experimenting with non OEM drums, and I've see this happen on a few of my machines. There will be a grey background after doing a full pm (toner removed during 25-2).

There is a full calibration that needs to be done on the BW machines as well, and it's very similar to the color.

44-2, 44-27, 44-6, 44-26. Then make sure you have LR in a drawer and run 46-24. This is standard on all BW machines. If this doesn't correct your issue and your using non OEM it's time to order Sharp supplies.

                Good Luck!

                /HH

Also, the toner cartridges should be removed during delivery.

                    Re: Sharp MX-M283

When replacing the new developer, make certain the front door is left opened prior entering SIM 25-2 for mixing the new dev. This will delete the old values from memory before entering the new value in memory. If you fail to do this, your copier will overtone for sure trying to catch up to old value set in memory.
