Sharp MX-2700N Bypass Settings

Hello,

We are trying to find a way to have the bypass tray auto-detect the paper.

If we have the bypass tray set within the copier settings to envelope, and we try to print from a plain letter size document, we must manually adjust the paper size in the copier control panel.

There is no appearant setting to have the copier auto-detect. Is there a way around this?

No there is not a way to auto detect paper type. The machine needs to know what type paper is being used so as to adjust transfer voltages and fuser temp and speed accordingly.

Also the print driver settings will override the panel settings in print so make sure they match.
