Have had issue with pulling the black DV. Have replaced Drum unit DV unit and both TRansfer belts. It does this about every 2 months. Thanks for the help.

Re: MX5111 pulling developer
Typically developer dumping is caused by primary charge faults. As SOP when we see developer dumping, we'll replace developer, drum, blade, and primary charge parts, all at the same time. It resolves most situations. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: MX5111 pulling developer
Try Tech bulletin MFP-TB 559. Change in dv cover. PN DUNT-8598DS14 for black cover.Comment

Re: MX5111 pulling developer
Yes the above mentioned bulletin is correct. increased airflow to developer.... increased airflow keeps the dv cooler.
The pull occurs as the dv heats causing the toner to "clump", this causes excessive dusting on the charge grids which in turn causes the dev. pullComment

Re: MX5111 pulling developer
I have seen this alot in the field. Sharp hotline recommended replacing the drum units with the newer style used in the 5141. That helped but did not resolve the issue. What did fix the issue was using SHARP waste toner containers. We had been ordering from K**** and their bottles seemed to fill up too far and waste toner would back up. When we torn down the drum units on the units that pulled we found toner dusted mainly on the front side of the main charge grids in the drum units, for about an inch or so. We observed this on about 50 machines, both 5111 and 5141 types. Hope this helps. repn1999@yahoo.comComment

No more problems since then? Because this is exactly what we have right now!
