[Error Code] Sharp ARM 355 How do disable the finisher (F1-08 Codes)

This copier has alot of problems but customer wants to keep it going. The finisher is throwing F1-08 codes. Most likely the stapler motor. They don't use the finisher and I want to just disable it. Is it as simple as unplugging it ? Any help would be so appreciated !!

AR-FN6 or AR-FN7? If AR-FN7, does it have the mailbox?

The short answer is yes. Always Power OFF before disconnecting or re-connecting cables.
This machine is plug-and-play. Some earlier machines required sim 26 setting, but not this one.
If you cannot exit to the top of the printer you'll have to add an exit tray left.

On another note, the F1-08 is a staple position error. Perhaps you can find out why the stapler won't move? This is not the typical code for either the AR-FN6 or the AR-FN7. Usually it will squeal like a pig long before it fails to move. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Your GREAT !!! Thanks so much... Yeah, the stapler motor sounds terrible. There are several users for this machine who are unfamiliar with it. Need to make it work simply as possible to cut down on service calls. Contract up in September then washing my hands of it... Thanks Again !!!

          No problem.

          So which is it?
AR-FN6: attaches to the right of the engine
AR-FN7: stand-alone finisher attaches at the left of the engine

The stapler swing plate springs break on FN6. We remove the plates and springs.
