    Sharp AR-BC260

I'm really getting to hate this unit.

When printing 11X17 (tray 3) or 8.5x14 (tray 2) it prints fine if there is just one page at a time sent. However if say a job of 6 or 8 pages is sent it starts sounding like it's eating paper.
the pages come out looking like they got folded up after 11 inches..(on the 14 inch size pages)

I've checked the paper path and did not find anything blocking it and pulled the duplexor to observe the paper comming out of the tray which it does fine.

I'm thinking that perhaps a clutch on the vertical paper path is bad. I have a manual that i bought for this unit a while back..but i'm looking to the copytech community here... does this sound like a common issue?
point me in the right direction as to the part I should be looking at?

Tray 1 works fine even when loaded with other sizes.

the display does read check paper size setting when it starts sounding bad..but i've checked and rechecked the indicator, and paper stops all in the right position.

Start out by adjusting 51-2 paper buckle, probably to lower setting (but you'll have to experiment). The method I've always used is to start at the default (as listed in the manual) increase the value until you get a distinct Z-fold. There will be an auditory change too. You'll hear a flap from the paper as it reaches the registration roller. Then back off the setting by ~5 points (lower). Set each tray individually.

If that doesn't work, then yes, I'd replace both the vertical feed clutches, then re-adjust the buckle again.

    PCLC-0297FCZZ Registration Clutch
    PCLC-0298FCZZ Vertical Feed Clutch

Both these clutches are in the paper feed drive pack. If you opt for the assembly it is: CFRM-1063DS51.

    Good Luck. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Yup, that should do it.

I'm a bit confused now, I ordered the frame assembly and opened the back of the machine to go about replacing it but did not find anything that matched the part.

I was expecting this frame to be fitted in the back of the lower desk assembly (where the two trays having issues are)

Are you refering to the drive unit for the desk? If so did you order the drive frame for the D18/D19 P/N 0EUFRM0406J06 ? If not you got the one for a single drawer desk.
