    mx3640 l8-20

There is a technical bulletin on this. It says to take a USB backup via 00-11

Then a trouble clear then too disable a number of ports.

I updated the firmware. But wasn't sure which ports to disable and are they all in network settings

    Re: mx3640 l8-20

I have it on good authority that the L8-20 trouble code is resolved with Version 5.00 ICU main Firmware.
One of the revision updates on the firmware release notes:
'L8-20 trouble may occur when condition signalling between internal modules is not performed properly'.

Same issue is fixed with latest version 3.00 firmware on Virgo II series.

    Update the firmware. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I had updated the firmware before original post the code didn't come back but the copier still managed to stop printing again disabled a few ports and it seems too be stable.

had a 5140 stop printing the day the touch pad slow to respond not pinging etc. same port disablement seems to have sorted it.
