Had same problem on a Konica Minolta turned out to be a corrupt document in the print queue, hence fault goes away when network cable is disconnected.

This is definitely related to the print job being sent to the machine. Have them delete from print queue and possibly send (if PDF) to the machine with 'Print as Image' settings in the driver.
Firmware upgrade might help but not sure. Could be MFP controller related but if you delete the job, the machine will work.
BTW, if you print to an HP or other machine the job will probably work fine with no trouble, something in the job format causes this error.

Yup corrupt print job looks like the new HP 600 has a code 49 same thing I wonder what's going on with drivers lately?

Agree with previous suggestion; corrupted print job in the queue.
The verify, hook up a laptop and crossover and attempt printing.

I haven't verified this, but try using the "download font" rather than the printer's "resident font".

Does the customer have POE? If so have them cut the power to the port the printer is plugged into.
