    Sharp AL 1655

This little toy machine has system error L1-00 in the display. I don't have a manual on this so wondering if anyone knows what this means, thanks.

Your scanner lock is holding the lamp assembly from moving. It's located on the underneath side of the optic area where the paper feeds out. It's a round clear plastic knob that rotates to lock and unlock the scanner. Power off/on to clear the code after unlocking the scanner.

I think everybody's got to do this at least once. The lock is in just the right place that you can fiddle with it with the fingertips of your left hand as you stand there at the copier. I must have phone fixed this at least 50 times. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Scanner lock on AL series machines

Thank G-d, the new AL-2030/2040/2050 don't have that lock installed.
