Re: Sharp MX-850 jams at drum claws on rear side
I have it on good authority that this will help you resolve your problem:
1. Confirm current firmware is installed (at least 02c06.H0).
2. Check & adjust all Transfer HVT values in sim 8, compared with default values in service manual. Tweak if necessary.
3. Remove the LED fix holder of the PTDL.
4. Change sim 55-01, switch 5-5 from 0 to 1
5. Clean & check drum potential sensor.
6. Execute sim 44-03 once.
7. In extreme cases, use a combination of mod & non-mod drum pawls (short & long version) to prevent lead-edge catching on pawls. Some machines running very successfully with mod pawls in middle, non-modded short pawls on outside with previous history of this jamming.
8. Ensure the transfer belt is part number ending in Z2 (under rear side belt edge).
9. Xerox 'performer plus' and 'business plus' paper brands have known problems like this. Try a different brand of paper.
A good friend of Copytechnet advised me on this. =^..^=Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp MX-850 jams at drum claws on rear side
I am not so sure I can Help, but at least 2 years a go I had a similar problem.
A4 paper was litterally detaching from drum.
No way of solving. After some searches we found Firmware upgrade that solved the problem. It was a beta firmware.
Let me know what FW do you have, I can check that out.Leave a comment:

Already checked out that particular bulletin for the belt direction, we are going in the direction of paper, but wanted to see if anyone had some ideas before having the dreaded paper conversation with the customer. That always goes over so well.Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp MX-850 jams at drum claws on rear side
There is a TB that might help. Search on sharps site for poind jams. It deals with installing the belt the correct way. Have also seen really cheap paper cause this. Good LuckLeave a comment:

Sharp MX-850 jams at drum claws on rear side
Have a Sharp MX-850 with 3 million that keeps jamming at the drum claws on the rear side on single side. Have checked claw operation and transfer belt assemblies. Seems to run fine with paper running in LTR-R direction. Any ideas would be appreciated.
