MX 4500N Firmware

I have 2 machines whose memory have been cleardand now its showing improper catridge. Please some one help me whith this machines firmware. Thanks in advance.

your copier and toner need to be set?belong
to the same destination.
firmware will not help

Thanks for your reply Igi, how do i do that. both machines were working well before its memory was cleared and since then its been showing improper cartridge, but the cartridge works well in another machine.

simulation 26 is your friend. And a manual

I have done tha severally but the problem still persist. Rigth now what I have not done is updating the firmware. Can you help me with one if u have? Thanks Igi

Did you try a brand new oem toner cartridges ? had this happen , would show improper cartridge in one machine and would work in another, but when I put brand new cartridge in problem machine , recognized cartridge. Some problem with data in copier and data on toner cart chip.

Also if you reset memory by using secret sim mode, Sims 70 and above, you will have to have eeprom from pcu and mfp board reprogrammed or replace the boards and use eeproms that come on new boards, but that may not work if copier checks s/n on each board.

I did this once , had machine that was having strange issues and as with certain other manufactures machines doing a complete reset may cure problems, well found out on sharps that when you do this using secret sim mode you can wipe out everthing. luckily machine was small mfp with only one board and eeprom ,but serial number was different and page count was off, but had to use eeprom that came with new board to be able to recognize toner cart.

Thanks for your contribution Faxman28. That is what really happened, but then how do i reprogramme the eeprom. getting another board or the eeprom from a new board has been a challenge.

EEPROM has to be done by sharp. You will need Hot Line case, And atleast the invoice from when it was purchased from sharp.
