    [Error Code] L4 -11

    Sharp AR250
L4-1 &L4-10 are the only errors that show in the manual. The problem indicated in the manual would seem to be a main motor problem. Have tried sim25-1 and mail motor checks ok. On the off chance it was a mirror problem I did sim 1-1&2. They look good. I am hoping someone out there has a good idea what is going on. I have tried sim 14 to clear, but it just won't clear.

l4 -11 refers to a shift assembly problem on every sharp I have ever worked on. That said, it has been a LONG time since I have seen an AR-250

Are you sure about that code? There's an E7-11, F1-11, U2-11, or U5-11, but AFAIK there is no L4-11. If there was an L4-11, it would have to be some kind of a motor code.

Odds are, it's something else. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I can't say for sure, as you have observed, there is no listing for that code for that machine. That said, on all other sharp mfp's, that code indicates a shift motor lock.
