[Misc] MX 7001N Open tray two and add paper

Hello

I am getting a note on the LCD screen to add paper to tray two however I have tray two filled with paper, is there a way I can change or fix this in the settings... Can I disable tray Two???

Can someone direct me in the service manual to fix this issue?

you can disable the tray by going into system setting go to paper tray setting and un ck copy.fax.first I would do test command 15.if this does work you can swap out tray 1 paper lift with tray 2.what happenssometimes the shaft on the lift motor twist.good luck

first check if any sensors in tray 2 is active in sim 30-2. specially T2PED

if not this looks like one of the sensors in tray 2 tandom pwb(pg sec72 item 47) is gone. it is located inside frame. You have to remove tandom trays and you will be able to see two boards with 2 sensors. Left hand one is the one needs cheking. you can check it by swapping the tary2 Tandom pwb with tray 1 board and check if you can get the sensors working in sim 30-2. also check the coupling next to the pwb is straight . this coupling can bent by overloading of paper in tandom trays.
