    Hello

    I just received in a Toshiba es4540c and when I turn on the copier there is a large ? on the screen. After rebooting the machine one time a dash appeared flashing across the screen. I am able to get into the test modes but when I try and turn the machine on the ? comes back. One time I was able to press the copy button and the regular screen came on. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

      I have seen the question mark appear on used copiers purchased from an equipment reseller.

      It probably means the copier at onetime was connected to a Papercut server.

      Trying doing a factory reset from the LCD panel under Admin.

          I agree. I think your MFP is looking for an authentication device or software. =^..^=
          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
