I am currently working on a Toshiba estudio 203L, that has a F103 error code, according to the service manual, I will need to replace the HDD. I could not locate a part# for the HDD in the parts manual. Is there a specific type of HDD I could replace it with?

Normal iDE Hard drive . 40, 80, 120Gb, but firmware required after installation

Thank you, I appreciate the quick response. I have access to the firmware, however in the srvice manual it says that there is a download jig I may need. I also see that there is a way to download it via USB. I will try the USB option. Any suggestions for trouble free firmware install via USB?Comment

Check your firmware version first .if it correct , You can done it without trouble sure . Can you access settings mode with your defective HDD?

Sriyanjan, that seemed to have resolved the error code, after reformatting the HDD, the MFP warmed up and made copies. Thank you, again for your help.Comment

In my experience you have a short term fix. I would get that HDD on hand for when it finishes failing. Also I would back up as much data as possible, in anticipation if the failure. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
