    I see now where my explanation wasn't very good. Item 21 is what you guys are calling the "hood" which is what I am calling the shutter. The description of that part (part number 21) is the TD Sensor Shutter Assembly (look in the book if there is any doubt). The one screw, item 27, can only be accessed when the shutter is in the open position.

      Ah, totally my misunderstanding there, sorry guys.

      Anyway, the gray patch is clean and unbroken so i guess it's fair to assume it's the sensor that is faulty?

        Had CF20's on 2 3511's last week. The first I may have fixed by blowing off the toner sensor grey calibrate patch, they haven't called back yet anyway.

        The second was fixed with the grey toothed motor, it had a gold toothed motor. I also noticed the motor plugs into a driver bd., one more thing to potentially cause this code.
