    [Misc] e Studio 355 Noisy

e studio 355 noisy at startup and when drum is turning.
Noise would go away after reseating the dev unit.
Rebuilt the dev unit now the noise does not go away.
Copies are fine but the "gear box rattling" type noise not going away anymore.

    Any ideas?

Mostly you'll just get E010 jams for the sheared drum drive pin. If you reach into the cavity and manually turn the drum drive you won't be able to feel the resistance of the motor. But not much noise.

The doctor blade might be making contact with the mag roller, making that noise. Or the paper dust collectors at the registration roller might be flipped, but you'll identify that pretty easily. Manually turning the registration roller will make the noise. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
