Hi.
I upgraded Toshiba e-Studio 305cp (color printer, no scanner) from firmware FW60 to FW90.P212. I found firmware on NL site https://www.toshibatec.nl/producten/.../e-studio305cp.
Printer was bought in Slovenia, Europe.

After update and printer reboot the printer boots always with error shown on the display "Invalid Engine Code".

Upgrade process went without issues. But instead of Ready signal i get Invalid Engine Code error on the display. And printing is not possible.
Printer web site access works as it worked before upgrade.

I tried to load slightly lower FW version FW90.P210 , but printer displays "Invalid version" message. Is this due to downgrade restrictions?
Does somebody know what the error means and what is an issue?
How to remedy this? Is there a way to do a "force downgrade"?

Thank you for your reply about getting a hdd with firmware pre-installed. That now only leaves me with trying to obtain the firmware.

Can anyone please help in where i can purchase a HDD for the E-studio Toshiba 5015 with the firmware already installed or where i can obtain the firmware either as a download or purchase a dongle with the firmware on it ready to install onto the 5015 - machine in UK / Europe?

A HDD cannot be purchased anywhere with the firmware pre-installed. Each machine has it's own encryption key used when loading firmware. A good working HDD of the same type on another machine will not work on a second machine with a different encryption key until firmware is loaded through the recipient machine.

I am currently looking for the firmware for the Toshiba E-Studio 2555cse (Europe).


Annoyingly, the hard drive died and I received error codes F105 and then F101. So I have to format the hard drive and rewrite the firmware and initialise it.
I already have another suitable hard drive of an equivalent e-studio model.


The currently installed system firmware version is 2191C (1.0.3.0)


Maybe someone can help me and provide the firmware to get the machine working again. Thanks

Hello! My name is George and I have a Toshiba e-Studio 167 with GA-1190 network card installed.

Today I install the GA-1200 Kit for network scan. My problem is that to GA-1200 kit has firmware 4xx and my GA-1190 has v100. (T286SYW100)

I need firmware v200 to upgrade from v100 to v200 first and then from v500 to the latest v510.

I have v500 and v510 and I can not find v200.

Can someone help me to find this firmware?
