Customer called with an e-Studio 162 stuck in "download mode". He said it's not on a network or hooked to a computer so I don't know what it could be downloading. Usually working on Ricoh so don't have a clue. I did have him run simulation 14 for the heck of it but no help. Any help appreciated.

Re: e-Studio 162
This is a re-badged Sharp. I seem to recall that if certain buttons gets held down (or stuck down or just generally damaged) the machine will warm up into "Download Mode." Here it is:
To enter the download mode, there is a method to use key operations as well as to use a test command.
With the power OFF, press and hold [CA] + [←], turn on the power. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
