Re: Estudio 350 Rattling noise in paper feed...
Easy fix? Not quick, but easy enough. Machines of this age can rattle because of the clutches, or just because for lack of lubrication in the main drive.
If you want a 100% success on the first trip, order up the registration, vertical path, and pickup clutches. While you're in there clean and lubricate all the gears and shafts.
I had a machine like this last week. Lacking the clutches, I cleaned and lubricated the drive. The noise was reduced by about 1/2. That took about 90 minutes, and it would have been exactly the same time if it had included clutches. The only major difference will be how many accessories you have layered over that main drive. It's up to you.
These clutches can not be disassembled. You can work alcohol into them to loosen them up, but it takes more time and you don't know how successful you'll be. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

clutches or on the lcf feed assembly there is two gears that mesh for the sep roller. If one is missing a tooth it will also cause a rattle type noise. And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!Comment
