    [Misc] User Pin

I work for a company that takes off lease copiers and wipes/formats the hard drives and tests them for resale.

Have a E-studio 4540c that asks for a user pin. Got in to administrator mode using the user/password method. Did a Factory reset, per our company policy.
Now we get 4 dots that scrolls right, then a grey box with a ?. Did i somehow erase some firmware/software?

I first tried setting the 9120 and 9122 to 0, but they were already 0, no help.

This is the first machine we have seen like this.

    Any insights?

And does anyone have some 4 digit 08 codes? I seem to have trouble finding a table of them for this machine.

    Re: User Pin

It sounds like this MFP has Papercut installed. Did you do a 3C-3, 3C-8, mode 49 firmware load, 08-9030 firmware initialize? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Try 08 - 9132 set to 0
      EWB back to copy screen

Our company does not have access to firmware downloads. I will try the code listed, I have disabled papercut before using the apps menu. Did not see it this time.

Can someone provide a list of Service codes that you find the most helpful:

        Ones i have are:

        690- HDD Format
        257- Counter
400- Reset Trouble (0) means set to 0
        202- Disable external Key Counter
        600- Disable user Access
        263- Reset Admin Password
        629- Disable user Access (0)
        9120 and 9122- Reset User access (0)
        692- Adjust Screen
        8929- Reset Admin Password

I know some are old, and mixed models. I don't really work on Toshiba's so I was given these notes from another Tech from "Discovery" of codes on forums. What i was looking for was maybe a better way of understanding codes. Does toshiba have sub catergories for codes, such as 600 range is User access related, and so on?
