Machine received a power surge and took out the HDD. Error F101-4 Tried recovery, didn't work. Replaced HDD and firmware. Installation went fine but, when trying to print gamma adj. pattern - blanks. Copies are blank. I can print a grid test pattern in 04 mode but that's it. Need any suggestions.

Re: Toshiba studio 757 blanks
System Board first, then Logic Board. Also possible SRAM. Replace them only one at a time though. Two or more at a time can be catastrophic.
=^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Toshiba studio 757 blanks
The Logic board is always simpler to change, as you can see.
For the System board you can use 3C-5 Key Backup Restore (SRAM to FROM). See page 350 of the SM. If you read the description notes, on page 914 it says: [A] Return License, Notes: If the Setting Mode (08) is not started up. "[A] Return License" can be omitted.
Omit [A] =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

Re: Toshiba studio 757 blanks
Well that did not go well.
Installed logic and got update errors . 00 code which just means "other error" After talking with Hytec tech service we went ahead and put in the system board and went to update and now I can't enter the update method 1,2 or three. No response from keys but I can enter the update mode with 4+9. If you have any suggestions, I need big help.Comment

Can you go back to new LGC + old SYS, and the SYS installation procedure? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

Re: Toshiba studio 757 blanks
You can still try old SYS with new SRAM. That's about all I've got.
Here's the theory: Machine data are stored in three locations. If the machine can identify two like batches of data it can update the third to be the same. It the machine identifies three different batches of data it is confounded, can't decide what to do. So always change only one of these three data sources at a time, and complete the installation procedure before moving onto the next possibility.
That being said, you may have passed beyond the point of no return. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

Re: Toshiba studio 757 blanks
1) Bring in your Toshiba service rep. Maybe he's got some magic we haven't touched on yet.
2) Bring in your service manager and sales rep, to get that box out of the field.

Re: Toshiba studio 757 blanks
Multiple board replacements get very tricky with Konica Minolta and Toshiba. All the boards on the machine are "married" to each other, and cannot be swapped around (with a very few exceptions). Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
