    4540 size detection

Get message saying to use ADF when you attempt to copy off glass. Replaced size sensors and scanner PCB

How dirty/damaged is the matt? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

It's fine. Won't even let me copy with the ADF up. Tried with paper covering the entire glass. Even when I don't get the message, APS isn't working. Not defaulted to duplex. Current firmware.

I had that same thing once on that same model. Ended up being the ADF open/closed sensor went bad. The one I experienced is the sensor near the scanner carriage home sensor. This model seems to experience a lot of failed sensors
