have a tosh 557 with a scanner response abnormality ( f-111). the book leads us to the sys board and main board, we replaced both. also tried the power supply , hard drive and scanner driver board. no matter what we do the copier always shows f 111 shortly after coming to ready. has anyone got any ideas? thanks in advance.---jim

Can you put the machine in 03 mode, see if the output commands for turning
the scanner motor, lamp on/off work?
That would at least tell you if there is communication between the boards.
Any chance the system board was replaced and the jumper wasn't set correctly?
Have you reseated the NVRAM? -

Harness? Firmware? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

the scanner does not move in the 0/3 code and the exp lamp does not come on. sys board was take off of a working 557, reset all chips at least twice,and hard drive and firmware has been replaced... if it helps, this might have happened after a power outage, thanks again for the help. it goes through what appears to be a normal warm up, then when the ready comes on a relay clicks on the power supply and it codes f111.Comment
