I have no training on Toshiba equipment, I am trying to help a non-profit org. that helps homeless people. They were donated a E-Studio 4045 and it has a CD-71 code. I checked the waste toner area, emptied the waste toner, cleaned some sensors about a month ago and it cleared the code. The CD-71 code is back, any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Re: E-Studio 4540 CD-71 code
I second that, as of late every one of of the machines in field of that series has had some sensor failures.
Seems to be the WT bottle sensors, the registration, the 2nd transfer position sensor and our favorite the IQC sensors cover sensor which requires gutting the machine to get to.Comment

Ditto: Replace the waste toner rotation sensors (C0-10813000).
=^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
