    E Studio 256 Service Code 970

I see this code has to do with the Charge Unit. I took it out and didnt see anything that jumped out as defective on that unit. Is there something on these machines that typically causes this Code??

    Thanks,

I've never seen a C970 on any Loire, Loire X, or Loire 2X machine. It's common for the transfer bushings to break, but that doesn't result in any codes. Usually just wrinkled copies or mostly blank copies if the contact spring falls out.

The closest I can find is on the Rhone and Rhone 2 (eS 200L and the rest of the family). On these machines the transfer and separation corona wires and charge unit are susceptible to shorting out, or having something conductive drop across the corona wires (like a spring or staple). But the Loire family have a transfer charge roller, not corona unit. Major difference.

On Toshibas the C970 code can refer to loss of any charge: primary, transfer, separation, or developing bias.
    Does that help?
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
