    Estudio 5055cse Odd Copy Issue

    Hi,

I have a E-studio5055cse that is having a problem when copying and scanning, printing is fine and any test prints are all good.

If i turn machine off and back on, i get a few copies out that look fine but after say 2 minutes the issue returns.

I've had this same issue before (8 months ago) with this machine and after reinstalling firmware the issue had gone away but now it hasn't made any difference
i don't know if it was just coincedence before.

I've attached some copies so hopefully one of you may be able to point me in the right direction.

Well if it prints and internal prints are good it rules out the laser. I would try and clean and reseat the memory first, then start looking at the CCD assy if the problem is still there.

Well it could be the CCD, the scanner motor and the DF motor, but I think the most likely is the Scanner Logic Board. It's just too unlikely that the DF motor and the scanner motor would both drive at triple speed without erroring out. More likely the image is being electronically manipulated to reduce it subscan. The SLG board does the majority of that image processing. Definitely follow the procedure in the manual when replacing boards on modern Toshibas. Each board is married to the machine, and cannot be swapped from a used machine. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Sorry but i cant see the Scanner Logic Board in the manual, Would it be the one on the back of the machine LGC Board ?
Or is it the Board on the back of the CCD?

        TIA
