I have an issue with one of my Toshiba 3511 units. During my last large print job and either before or during the unit adding black toner, it was printing full pages in black. I bought the machine used so I have no idea what PM was done to it other than what I have done, as the PM mode was never updated.
When I noticed the black pages, I interrupted the job and just fiddled around with it to make sure all connection were tight and so on. It would print more pages and out of the blue it would start with the black pages again. Some times the pages were not entirely black but almost large streaking.
I ran a small print job on it that was in color about a month ago and it spit out a few pages in full yellow. This all happened after the unit was updated to firmware 4006 but I can't say if it was because of the update. I'm afraid to update my other units with the firmware in case it was. The unit has over 350k, the drum & transfer belt recently replaced and cleaned well. I also had the machine apart to change a stripped gear on the transfer belt cleaning unit but the problem happened before that.
I don't have a way to recreate the problem, it seems to happen at no particular time. Any advise?
