Toshiba 2050C - new OEM toner cartridge detected as empty

Hi, I have a problem with the detection of the magenta toner.

The prints are just fine, all the colors works, but the printer keeps making beeps every time I print. it say "replace the toner cartridge" (it shows 0%)

I just fixed a C970 error. it was the main charger because the spring of the needle electrode fell of inside the main charger. I putted all the pieces in place and the c970 error disappears but the detection of the color magenta doesn't work. It use to happend sometimes but we use to fix it removing the toner cartridge and reinserting it, but now it doen't work anymore.

    any advice?

    Regards.

Have you thought about installing a toner cartridge with a working EEPROM chip? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Charging error will exhaust developer material causing toner issue "Replace toner cartridge" even the cartridge is not empty...
U can try run auto toner adjustment, if stripes appear on print out then need to replace developer material...

If you still have a good amount of developer material into the M dev unit try to manually add a few spoons of fresh magenta toner inside, stir the gears to have a even mix and this should work for you. I will not recommend a developer initialization with already used developer.

It could be the chip as Blackcat mentioned, once the toner cartridge is rejected by the machine a new chip/used chip is needed.

also have a look at that toner cart itself, you may have gotten one where the pull strip you remove has not fully removed and it's blocking the toner from falling..its moot however since once the machine sees that toner is not being replenished it writes to the toners chip as empty and there is nothing you can do about it...put in a new toner.

Your needle electrode falling is common now on that age machine, the plastic wire holder breaks down - replace them all during PM's on any machines of that age - the clip is cheap, toner and developer being trashed is not.
