[CQ] Mj1112 folding issue on 5506ac

    Hi everyone,

Customer keeps getting intermittent folding issue on a 5506ac with a mj1112 booklet finisher. Iv attached a photo of the fault. Fault occurs on single and multi page booklets, stapled and non stapled.
    Copier hasn't done much mileage.
Now iv checked all the clear mylar guides and cleaned through the paper path. No jams etc. Can't work out what's causing it.
    Any help would be great.

Is the paper weight 20 lb bond/ 75 gsm as this is the maximum specification?

The screw holding in place the shaft for the additional folding mechanism may be loose (usually at the back of the saddle stitch side) causing folding miss alignments, if this is what you get

Fixed the problem. Replaced the 2 grey sponge rollers which pull the paper down into the saddle staple tray. Also replaced the saddle lift tray motor and sensor, (suggested by Toshiba, as they've had reports of this issue from other dealers).
