    Custom paper size? Toshiba 5015ac

I'm sure this is a stupid question! I'm just new to Toshiba. I have a customer that needs to set paper tray to a custom size but I cannot get it to show up on inches instead of mm on copier screen. I have gone into admin to allow changes to be made to paper trays but when I select inches machine only allows to set custom size mm. What am I not doing right?

From the LCD panel, User/ Drawer. Change from mm to inches.

Or from the Toshiba Universal 2 print driver, Others tab, Custom paper Size, Add. At the bottom, change from mm to inches.

Did that. When I select inches then custom size and the screen goes to where you enter the size and it's in mm even though I selected inches on the previous screen.

Yeah, this is one of those quirky things about 4555C, 4505AC, 4515AC. It wants your dimensions in millimeters. Often its easier to substitute a close standard ISO A or ISO B paper size than to configure the custom paper size. We placed quite a few of these at funeral homes, who are continually trying to feed odd sized bits of paper. I think the funniest was when my customer told me that the machine didn't print the last 2" of 12" x 19" cardstock.

Here is an example of the hoops you have to jump through to get the custom paper size to work:
Misfeeds Thank You Cards (4 7/8" x 6 7/8" or 124mm x 172mm) (E065) from the bypass. The specific custom paper size is not visible as an option in the driver. Enduser does not select custom paper size when inserting paper in the bypass. Enduser feeds media LEF. Set up bypass CUSTOM paper size 124 x 172 to MEMORY2. Set up Thank You Card custom paper size in the print driver > Properties > Preferences > Options > Custom Paper Size > Add > Name "Thank You Card" > Metric > 124 x 172 > OK. Disable paper size detection in the bypass 08-9164 (set "1" to "0"). Load Thank You Cards SEF. Select Custom Media Size: MEMORY2. Print: select "Thank You Card" custom paper size in the print driver properties. It is still necessary to press Start to acknowledge the paper size in the bypass.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Have you tried to disable the by-pass paper confirmation pop-up (or something similar can't remember exactly) in User Functions->Admin->Printer/eFilling this to not having to confirm with Start when printing from by-pass?

Good post though, I'm sure I will run through something similar soon.

I don't think that I was aware of this function. It's been a while. At one time I called the hotline to see why I could not enter inch dimensions on a US machine. The answer was: "You just can't." The issue comes in where you have a program that requests only a specific inch sized non-standard dimension, and even if you set the correct size in metric the paper size is not a match. =^..^=
