toshiba C2555 jams and ce40 are they related?

I have one jamming out of every cassette right at the registration roller/ checked all switches in service mode and I do see the states change though they are a little different from another C3055 that I have and the service manual . But They do change state.

It also throws a CE40 code which I can get over by setting 08-2486 to 0 ,

I see some other posts on CE40 mention depleted DV , all look solid .

I pulled all DV's and drums made sure Transfer belt was turning in service mode . I did not pull belt and clean sensor or rotate DV units by hand ( I see that in some suggestions )

I thought leaving 08-2486 would eliminate any CQ problems as a source of the issue and allow the unit to run even with a CQ issue ?
    Perform "Enforced performing of
    image quality open-loop control
    (05-2740)".
just goes to wait and then right back to SM.

Last the manual is not very helpful as most of the descriptions do not tell you what you should see or should be looking for. Not to mention it is very spread out. Also the service modes cant jump from one mode to another without restarting the unit and that is a painful wait. Just venting

Seeing that error code and jamming I'd normally say transfer belt cleaner unit, or a broken dev unit. But I've also had issues with the main drive when under load, working fine in test mode but when running not rotating. Also the sensors under the transfer belt and rego sensor form memory are on the same loom so could be a connector issue.

Let it go into a CE40. Remove the primary transfer belt assembly and look at the patches.

      You might see:
one of the colors poorly reproduced
brown background on the primary transfer belt assy.

If those look fine on the belt:
you're patch sensors may be dirty
the shutter may not be opening.

There is no connection between paper jams and CE40 codes. It would be helpful to know the jam code.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Transfer Belt side bushings gets gummy, it slows down the speed and jams the paper. Probably that's why you got CE40's if the above suggestions are OK. The Transfer Belt Cleaner Unit's gets clogged with waste toner because customer doesn't replace the Waste Toner Box in time, check that as suggested.

The display does not give a numerical jam code / I wish it did . I wonder if that is part of the issue ? Have not researched where in unit to view this log. I can not print out a report because of the jams .

Start the machine in Setting Mode Power ON and press 0+8 keys, press OK for the password, choose Classic in top right and input 9703 - this will show up the latest 20 error codes
