    [Error Code] TOSHIBA Copier E-Studio 857 can not work!!! Please help!!

    Hi!

    My Copier ToshiBa E-Studio 857 does not work when I press START.
    I can choose the number of copies but it does not copy.
    I also can not "Factory Reset" due to the button is blurred.
    I attacked a link to a video to show you how it was.

    I acquired it as a used copier. I live in Vietnam that we usually import copiers from others.
    Actually, I have a friend who has a E-Studio E-857, too. His copier works well.
    I tried to change systems board include HDD with him, and my systems board also works well with his copier but when I set his board to my copier, that problem still happen.

    Please help and give me some solutions!!

      Likely the system software on the copier's hard drive is corrupted.

      There is nothing you can do.

      You need to call in a trained Toshiba service technician to reload the software.

      What is the meter read on the copier?

      Was the copier purchased as 100% new or did you acquire it as a used copier?

          My first attempt would be to re-format the HDD and re-load firmware. You'll want a technician to do this.

          If this fails you might have a bad HDD or logic PWB. =^..^=
          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                  You cannot just swap boards or HDD's on Toshiba machines. Each board and HDD is married to the other boards. There is a very specific procedure to replace only a single electronic board or HDD, never more than one at a time. Additionally the data on the HDD is encrypted with a unique encryption password. So a fully functional HDD on one machine will not work on another machine until it is re-formatted and firmware reloaded.

                  You REALLY REALLY need a technician who knows what they are doing before you brick the machine for good.

                          I would say it is now not economical to repair this copier.

                          Once the user started swapping system boards and HDDs, it would take a highly skilled tech working closely with qualified tech support to bring it back.

                          Either the System board of the Toshiba proprietary SED-HDD needs to be replaced. Easily $800.00 USD + labour.

                          This is certainly not something that can resolved by asking for free tech support on the web.

                          Too bad as the e857 was a really good copier before it was discontinued in Aug 2016.

                              Thanks for your help!

                              This morning, I turned on it and it worked.
                              In the afternoon, I shut down it when I turned on again, I felt that the power seemed like "low in a moment" when the machine was turning on and checking systems.
                              I am trying find a fully-skilled technican but quite hard due to in my country, we usually import copiers and we almost meet error codes about hardwares.
