Toshiba 3505 AC Black toners not recognise

Hi all we are having an issue with a 3505ac copier
We have bought several black toners thinking this was the issue we changed the chips still nothing
we put the toners in different machines but the black toner is not reading
the machine will detect if the toner cartridge is empty, but when you put in the new toner it says adding toner then tell you to install new toner
It doesn't work like this with any other colour just the black toner
Has anyone else experienced this issue before?

    Are you using OEM toners?

All genuine. We even took one from another machine that's working and it is still not picking up.
An empty cartridge says to insert a full one it also says to insert. If you remove the chip from the cartridge it says no cartridge. But the cartridges are working in other machines

Have you tried going into 08 mode to reset/detect a new cartridge or 03 to see if it detects it there?

          How do we do this?
we usually work with Xerox and Canon machines. We juat had a client who have a Toshiba and they ordered the toners fromnus ans this happened to one of them

Somekne responded talking about gears. The message came to my email truncated but not showing up here in the thread. I'll attempt to answer. We removed the back of the machine where they gears ans sensors are with one from another machine and still got the same error. Not sure if there is another set of gears. But this one we switched out was one located behind the toners

Still amazes me after 33 years, Toshiba doesn't take the end user in consideration and "beef up" areas they can shove something into a machine.

You mean there is one machine not working, or a lot of them?

I had this issue some times and when it happens its because you have a problem with the black developer.
