Toshiba 5055c keeps jamming but no paper is there.

So I have a 5055c with the 2000 Sheet Large Capacity Paper Trays. When we print, it will work for so many pages, then the right jam access cover, the lower one right next to where the paper is pulled from the large capacity drawer shows a jam. However there is no paper in there at all. But for some reason the copier seems to think there is. I pulled out the paper tray above the large capacity trays and watched as the roller grabs paper. Everything looks fine the rollers are still not worn out or anything. They grab a new sheet just like they are supposed too. Then randomly it throws the jam error it does not even try to grab the paper when this happens, just throws the jam error.

Now I did clean all the rollers, pulled the copier out and carefully blew out any dust, carefully added 3 an 1 oil to any gears just in case something was sticking. But I still get the same result. I am not sure if maybe there is a sensor there that is not working and it thinks paper is stuck in there or if a clutch is not properly engaging to pull the paper from the tray so it throws the system off thinking there should be paper in there when there is not. Just thinking out loud on those two as I am not really sure where to go next.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you provide a jam code, I may be able to offer something useful. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Sorry about that.

So if I use the lower tray I get E190

If I use one of the upper trays I get E061

Basically the next spot up in the Jam Access Panels.

Thanks for the quick response as well!

The E061 is a paper size mismatch from tray #1. Either the paper size does not match the size programmed, or very rarely you can get this code if the separation roller has a flat.

The E190 is from the LCF. Worn rollers can cause this. I've also seen the one-way bearing inside the feed roller slip on the feed shaft.

I do not happen to agree with the popular opinion of "roughing up" the feed shaft. If the one-way bearings stick, they need to be cleaned in alcohol and oiled with Triflow. If the shaft is worn down it just needs to be replaced. There is no way to restore the original diameter of a worn shaft. I'd say 75% of the time and alcohol soak and re-oiling restores one-way bearing operation.

Clean your vertical rollers on the side. I remove the doors and clean the machine rollers and the door rollers plus pop them off and check and tug on the springs a bit.
Also check the switch to the tray 1 and 2 door I have had that short and cause non feed jams

I've had a couple of bad LCF feed clutches cause that.
