Windows 11 Update 24H2 breaking scan to FileShare

I have several customers using scan to FileShare on their Win 11 Pro computers.

They all were recently automatically updated to the latest Win 11 24H2.

Now FileShare does not work as you cannot browse to \\IP address of the copier and see the FileShare icon.

Any ideas how to fix this?

All of the share settings in Windows Advanced Network Sharing center are turned on.

    Windows11 Pro 24H2 or later can't access MFP's shared folder (file_share).

    [Phenomenon]

Due to a specification change in Guest Logon feature on Windows 11 Pro edition or later, users can't access MFP's shared folder by default (file_share). Please check the following Microsoft URL for details.
Accessing a third-party NAS with SMB in Windows 11 24H2 may fail SMB insecure guest auth now off by default in Windows Insider Pro editions
But, Windows 10 Pro/Home edition and Windows 11 Home edition 24H2 can access MFP's shared folder.
Please refer to the table below for details

    [What to do]

If Windows 11 Pro edition 24H2(and Windows 10/11 Enterprise/Education edition)and MFP join to Workgroup, please disable the Guest logon and set User name and Password in "Authentication of SMB Server" setting (TopAccess – Administration – Setup - Network - SMB).

Then, when accessing File sharing function in the MFP (Accessing Shared folder, Installing WebInstaller) from Windows 11 Pro 24H2,

Windows Security screen will be displayed to prompt the entry of User name and Password on the Windows 11 Pro 24H2, enter the User name and Password registered for the "Authentication of SMB Server" at the MFP.

If the check box "Remember my credentials" is checked at the Windows Security screen, the MFP credentials are registered to the Windows OS credential manager, the Windows Security screen is not displayed on the Windows 11 Pro 24H2 at the next time onwards

Do you think this should be resolved as billable labour or covered under a Service Contract?

It is not the service providers fault this update happened. Nothing changed on the copier. but the technician now has to go into Top Access (perhaps remotely) and make some changes.
