    OKI ES9476 - Es5005AC Toner Toshiba

Happy New Year to all. I have an OKI ES9476 (Es5005AC) and I can't find the toners, I updated it with the Toshiba firmware but I don't know how to make it "digest" our toners. Is there some code to change?

Okidata abandoned North America for laser printers in March 2021 so your chances of finding Oki toner is very low.

The e5005AC was discontinued in Nov 2018. Toshiba will likely discontinue support on the e5005AC in April 2025.

Time to think about upgrading your old Oki to a new Toshiba e4525AC. About the only thing you can resuse is the metal copier stand and the GD1370NA fax board.

I already have a fleet of new XX25 series machines. I changed 5 OKI ES9476 full optional with 100,000-150,000 copies and I have already updated them with the Toshiba firmware and programmed the Eeproms with the programmer. I just have to find the system to make them read the Toshiba toner chips. Unfortunately I have little time for tests.

You could also get some aftermarket chips for the OKI and re chip your cartridges.

If all else fails read the Service Manual!

If that fails, meet me at the pub and we will discuss it.
