    Toner on transfer belt

    Hi all,

After replacing the transfer belt on the e studio 281c there is a lot of toner dumped on the belt which leaves a 40mm line of toner on the page - I have to clean the 2nd transfer roller and the transfer belt and eventually it goes away with clean prints, unfortunately after a restart this has happened again - can anyone please tell me what causes this and how to fix it?

... decline any further service attempts and offer to upgrade this horrible copier to at least a used e2555c or e2505Ac or preferably a new e389cs/ e330Ac/ e2010Ac or e2515AC.

You are doing both yourself and the customer a favour.

If the customer says no, walk away and sleep easy.

Toshiba Tec discontinued all parts and support on this dog more than ten years ago.

Unfortunately I am the customer - this is my own machine.

Give up on this dog. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I would if I could afford to, the counter is only at 7500 copies - was hoping to keep it going, at least till we get to the other side of this pandemic.

OOF. I think we got into Toshiba right after this, starting with 40c series and the Okidata 4545x branding.

Agree with other guys. However if I was enduser begging for help I will make a lot of pictures and upload them plus print sample plus how you change the belt. Do you use manuals etc.
