Prints have dark bands on bottom of page

    Hi
I am trying to keep a Toshiba E-Studio 2040c going.

Now there is dark banding on bottom om every printed page.

I have done the maintenance according to chapter "Cleaning the slit Glass and Main Chargers" in the troubleshoot-manual but no luck, the banding persists.

What are to be cleaned to get rid of these bands?

    /beppe

    PS

And if someone have access to a Service Manual for E-Studio 2040c I would really appreciate a link or an email with it.

Since I only print Black/White I changed drum between black and cyan and the banding disappeared.

But now I have black "smudge" on the backside of printed paper.

What can be the cause of such behavior?

      I will investigate further

I think you might have hardened toner on the pressure roller in fuser unit, have a look there

          Thanks for the reply

          You're probably right.

The smudge faded and disappeared after about 15 prints, so I never checked where it came from.
