    e-studio 352,352,452,453 light copies

The dealership where I work has been a Toshiba dealer for about a two years. I was sent to Chicago to be trained on this model (1 1/2 years ago). We have nothing but complaints about these machines and their light CQ. I agree. I have tried to set the density higher, check the xerographic voltages, & set the transfer higher. Still the copies look light. Comparing 04-111 test copies with test copies on an e-studio 520, shows that the 520 solids are way better. I know were talking about two different machines, but you would think the CQ would be better. We are a KonicaMinolta dealer also. CQ on these machines is far better than the Toshibas. Are our expectations for these machines too high or is this the way these machines are?

I don't know if you're expectations are too high but I have yet to have a customer complain about CQ being too light on a machine with maintained developer/drum etc... I have never had to adjust a HVT to solve a problem on a toshiba yet (jinx.) I can say that between a 520 series and a 452ish series my test chart will come out the same if I had just put a DV kit / Drum / Wires in both.. no doubt in my mind. I have noticed on toshibas in the optics you get a lot of dust build up towards the rear on the lamps for some reason which gives light copies.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

              Laser slit glass

The laser slit glass gets dusty. Clean it off, it's right next to the drum.
