    Toshiba E-Stuidio 355se Can Not Find HDD data

    Hello,

    I recently purchased an E-Stuido 355se on an auction by accident (long story). They removed the HDD from the machine and I get "Can Not Find HDD data" when powered on. I tired putting in an old 400GB hdd formatted to NTFS, exFat, and partitioned it to 10gb with Fat32 (the rest non-partitioned) all with the same error. When I try [C 3] 3: All partitions Delete and Create Loader Partition, it seems to stall on Initializing HDD Table (3 days before I just shut it off).

    What formatting does the HDD need to be? Should I try a smaller drive? Do I need the firmware ahead of time? I can't find the firmware anywhere and there is no local Toshiba seller.

      It needs to be a Toshiba Wipe Drive (encrypting), and the firmware cannot be pre-loaded. It must be loaded through the machine. Look for part # G0-00732000 or G0-00733000. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
