    307 PaperCut question

We have a customer that recently updated their Papercut, and not they can't get their 307 to accept print jobs. On the Papercut site, they show the x series is not compatible with Papercut, but the 307 is an x2 series, I was hoping someone could confirm that Papercut is compatible with the x2 series. I am confused why a company that would pay for Papercut wouldn't upgrade a 307, but it seems they don't want to part with it.

What version of Papercut is installed? MF or NG? Version #?

Does the customer not have a Maintenance Service contract with Papercut?

      Re: 307 PaperCut question

Sorry been busy. They are using PaperCut MF, my understanding is they just upgraded to the most current version. TABS is the vendor but the account is about 120 miles away from me and all my time has been spent recently about 100 miles in a different direction. PaperCut suggested I contact TABS for support, but the last regional meeting I attended they said they won't support machines if the tech isn't on site.

        Re: 307 PaperCut question

I don't know how important it is, but Papercut only plays nice with certain specific levels of firmware.

Years back we had a bunch of Masherbrums that worked just fine on Papercut ... until I started to update firmware on those machines. After a lot of fuss we ended up downgrading firmware to make it work. I never touched the firmware on those machines after that. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Re: 307 PaperCut question

The last version of firmware made available for the e307 was V1281 released in 2018.

Toshiba Tec Japan has scheduled to discontine all support for the e307 series in April 2024.

The e307 was discontinued in May 2016.

While the Papercut site does list the e307 as a supported model, you will find it difficult to find someone to support this install.

If upgrading to the lastest firmware does not resolve the issue, it is time for the customer to upgrade to a e3528A if they really need Papercut.
