    Toshiba eStudio 256SE authentication fail

    Hi all,

    I got the following error on Toshiba eStudio 256SE "authentication fail" when using 3c mode

    Machine got f106 error and changing hdd got this error on 3c mode

    Is anyone got this error or anyone have a solution for this error...

    Hold on a second.

    So, you installed a HDD ... is it a WIPE drive? Is it new, or at least functional? Did the system board get changed also, or some other board?

    Were I to guess, I'd say that you got this machine used as off-lease. The HDD got removed at decommission, then the system board got "borrowed" to repair another machine. So, the system board in your machine is either defective, or doesn't have the data it should, because it has never completed installation.

    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.

    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
