    ES-478S cloud question

So here I am setting up one of these things and I can't get answers.

Is this compatible with Toshiba ECC ?

Toshiba support says no but they don't know why the machine has the Toshiba Meter Collection Tool app installed on it nor how to configure it.

Is this thing compatible with Lexmark Cloud Services ?
When I run the PET is says the machine is compatible after firmware to update the native agent. I did that but it's not working with the same error.

You can't look up this thing on FYI as all the links just point to the Lexmark site and it's called a MX622 from them.
There is nothing mentioned about the Toshiba version of the machine.

Anyone have any experience with this thing? We normally collect meters and monitor toners either from the Lexmark Cloud as we are also a Lexmark dealer or from Cloud Connect.
    Thoughts ?

I can check when I'm at my desk, but I believe the answer is a qualified yes, with the current firmware. I seem to recall having two or three units connected. =^..^=

Edit: I just pulled up a picture, and this is clearly a Lexmark rebadge. I had a mental picture of the Okidata re-badge (eS477?). I don't know.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Sweet, attached is the message I get with PET, it's the newest version and the firmware on the machine is
MXTGM.221.204 which is also the newest.

I had documentation on TCC, but I can't seem to find it right now. Perhaps Thayer will see this and comment. =^..^=

Being a lexmark rebadge, not having same OS "bridgex"
I don't think it will connect to toshiba cloud. Possibly lexmark cloud, I have never used lexmark cloud.
I am also not sure with these newest models.

              Re: ES-478S cloud question

Toshiba got back with me and no, it will not connect to ECC at all.
Somone was supposed to call me about why these machines have Toshiba meter collector as an app and what that's all about, but it hasn't happened yet.

Can't find an answer on the Lexmark cloud and I am not calling Lexmark, they are useless for support.

If anyone has any ideas about the Lexmark cloud that would be swell.

                Re: ES-478S cloud question

The e478s will not connect to the Lexmark cloud. Lexmark does this on purpose to give their product an advantage over relabelled versions of the same.

I was never able to get an answer on the purpose of the Toshiba Cloud Connect meter tool collection app.

The built in email reporting system never seems to work consistently.

I put the Customer support app on the LCD panel and rename it Meter Reads. I contact the customer quarterly via email to collect the meters.

The e478s is just now discontinued and scheduled to be replaced with the very similar e479s with a slimmer LCD panel in Oct/Nov.
