Early failure of UFR - e2528A series

I only have a handful of these in my territory. But I can't get past 40-50k life on the UFR. They get caked in toner and cause image quality issues. These are basically an e255, haven't changed these much in 15 years! The fusers were never the strongest point on these machines, but this symptom is new to me at such low volume. Just wondering if I'm the only one seeing this?
Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?

I've talked to other techs around the country. It's not just you.
The 45's seem to last a bit longer. Only thing I can think of is
maybe they sit too long between copy jobs and they just don't like it.
That and some think whomever makes the belts, had a bad batch go
out. (Not that TABS would say anything...kind of like the issues that
we had with the 8508 series)

Glad to hear it's not just me. My guess is a temperature issue. Maybe too low so there is residual toner staying on the UFR after the paper passes? We'll probably see some FW fix later. But in the meantime we lose money. Another day in the life of a copier tech! lol

        Hi folks.
Once upon time Toshiba guy here.
I'm completely agree with you we see same with Konicas now. They claim longevity but in reality fusers life is shorter and I'm almost sure due to poor parts quality. Also regulations are strict to energy saving, toner being saved, low waste and those too play bad roles.
We see toner deposits on fuser belts or transferring from pressure rollers to belt too.
I'm actually going to increase fuser temperature against all odds.

Might tick off a customer having to wait, but, you could also try setting the energy save back to default, 1 minute and see if that helps.

We are at 15 minutes atm, energy saving was always like that back and now doesn't matter brand we were setting Toshys to15 minutes and now at KM it's default we don't touch it.
