Are the files in the root of the usb stick or in a folder, try the opposite of what you have.

              try another usb drive.
then try unzipp in the pc, and then put in the usb.

May have occur one problem in the download of the firmware.
Try download again the firmware. or if exist one version between the machine version and that one, download that. and upgrade with her first.

Try a 512mb thumbdrive. I have had issues with 1 and 2 gb thumbdrives on that model. Also some thumbdrives come with an embedded software that will not work with Toshiba copiers. This will need to be removed.

Are you using the USA firmware or European version? I do not believe that you can inter change them. Also what version is on there know (08-900)?
You may need to do a 2 step update by going to version 300 then up date to 3801.

                              Dear Qwaisebutt ,

Let`s see if this can help step by step.

1.Format your thumb drive using FAT ( 256mb recomended 512mb can use but slower )

2.Copy ROM.bin file into your FAT thumb drive.

3.On your machine HOLD on to CLEAR+3

4.Perform #3 then Start then OFF machine

5.On your machine HOLD on to CLEAR+3

6.Perform #2 then Start then OFF machine

7.Plug-in your thumb drive ON the machine HOLD 4+9

8.Let the machine detect the ROM.bin files first, Once detected wait for the text to come out saying Connect the next Storage bla bla bla....

9.Plug out the thumb drive NO NEED OFF MACHINE.

10.Format the thumb drive again with FAT , insert all the remaining files into your thumb drive together with the ROM.bin

11.Plug-in the thumb drive with the Machine ON status.Press Start...let it run.

12.Off the machine after all the files fully loaded.

13.On machine HOLD 0+8 , Key in 947 and Initialize it.

                              14.On Machine HOLE 0+8 , Key in 690 , enter 2 and Start.

                              15.Reboot the Machine DONE.

Note to remember. Insert files in the thumb drive as directories don't put it into a folder.Maybe your case is you YOU put all files into a folder in your thumb drive.

                              Thanks
