E230 Powering turning itself off after Ready

This one switches it self off after it comes to Ready. In error history I get a C440. Reset code and tried another fuser and process unit from another machine. Same result. The copier is well over a million copies and in a very dusty area. I'm thinking toward short or power supply/hvt. Anyone run into this? Wall voltage is good and no blown or burnt fuses.

C440 is a fuser code so the hv power supply is out of the picture. Most Toshiba's have a fuser control pwb and I found one of these that the main power supply was the cause of it.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

When the temperature control circut cannot shut off power to the heat lamps, and the fuser overheats, the LGC bd sends a force off command to the main power switch. If that fails, the thermostats open interrupting power to the lamps. Either the LGC bd is failing to send the OFF command to the lamps, or the switching reguator on the power supply is unable to turn the lamps off. Most of the calls that have required a power supply replacement are for fuser failing to heat, or stay hot, not for an overheating condition. My money is on the LGC bd and a problem with the temp control circuits. EMujo

do the lamps turn off when you open the side door?
if the triac (note there are 2 lamps and 2 triacs) that turns on the lamps shorts the lamps will stay on ....

they are located on the ac powersupply board ......
        I fix copiers ...Well Sorta

It was the power supply. Also rewired the fuser first, the lamp ones were in bad shape. thanks
