Toshiba EStudio 45 - CA1 Error Code

I have a Toshiba Studio 45 with the CA1 Error code. I understand that is the laser unit that is bad. I got another laser unit to change.

I started dissasembling the copier to change laser unit, but it seem that I will never get there. IS THERE A EASY WAY TO EXCHANGE the laser unit or you have to take almost the whole copier apart for this procedure.

NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Um yeah... its a pain... the system box has to come out first.... that should say it all.. basically disconnect all if its connectors and there's screws holding the box in from the front and back (in a nutshell) the whole box (once properly freed of it's stuff) comes out the back of the copier, complete with sys and eng board. Not fun.. Be careful, easy to damage a harness on removal or re-installation... good luck!
