    4511 wrinkling from fuser

Hello, I have wrinkling comming out of the fuser. I installed a different rebuilt fuser, tried adjusting the fuser entrance guides and also the fuser shelf heigth adj on the front of the frame, no good. The copy is aligned proper on the paper and it happens with all drawers and tried new paper. The aligning rollers seem to have equal pressure from side to side. I am at a loss on this one. Thanks for any help.

Had this once that was caused by the paper tray outfeed mylar. It was nickd and bent causing the paper to skew slightly. Also, align the trays using the bypass tray and the platen glass as a referance. Paper shifited to the front or rear can be masked by 05 adjustments. EMujo

      Fuser wrinkles paper

My first suspicion was that the entire fuser could be the problem. Having seen Emujo's response that also sounds logical. I would say go with the cheapest parts first then maybe the fuser. Also try running 11x17 from the cassette and bypass to troubleshoot further. Good luck...

Is the wrinkle hard pressed into the paper or loosely pressed. Hard pressed would indicate the wrinkle started before or at the nip and loosely would suggest after. The fact that the copies are straight makes it seem like after in which case the problem might not be the fuser... Check the 2nd transfer roller for flat spots also.

Thanks for the tips. I will try a new transfer roller and see how that goes. The wrinkles are hard pressed. Transfer roll er is one of the things I havnt tried or thought about. We will see. Thanks

Yeah sounds like it might be happening in that area. If it was happening before 2nd transfer / registration I think it would be more likely that the copies would be crooked.

Hello, I replaced the transfer roller and that did not help the wrinkling. Normally with this problem I have found it to be the paper but I tried a couple of different types of paper from unopened reams. It has to be from the registration roller foward I think because it happens from all the drawers and bypass. When I have some other ideas I will go back to customer and try again. Thanks
