    Toshiba 451c light copy

240k copies. I have no service history on this machine. Copy, print, black and color are lighter then normal, rear side is much lighter then normal.
I replaced with original toshiba parts: Drum and blade, Developer, Transfer belt, charge wire. No change in copy quality.
I clean the laser scanner, and transfer belt's rollers, no change in copy quality, I have to adjust the setting to improve the solid print, it is still not where it should be in the rear side, still shows symptoms like drum or belt problems the toner coverage is not solid. Any idea? Thanks.

    Hi,
Have you try taking out the laser unit and clean the inside. remove all the screws and open the laser clean the inside mirrors. clean the see thru glass which shines to the drum.
clean the optics side ( the lamp, mirrors etc) if you havn't done that.
do calibration and you should get better printout.

    good luck!

Sounds like the laser if it is really doing it on everything, there is an 05 code to turn the laser up. If nothing else it might help until you get a new laser or at least to narrow it down a little more.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

I'm not sure about any adjustment but make sure the revolver has zero slop in it. It should be tight front to back in the machine, as well as rotationally. The 2nd TF roller was a good point I have seen clips come loose and let one side of the roller flop and cause a similar problem to what you are describing. Also sometimes the outer rubbery coating would separate from the inner foam roller.

Thanks, I just replaced the transfer roller and the copy quality is even and good.
Running more color copies brought another problem, there are smears lines only on front side of copy, lines are going left to right, only on color copy or color print, black is good, shamefully I forgot to order the transfer belt cleaning blade (will get it soon), can this be the problem?

Yes. But cleaning of belt recycle section could solve the problem, too. It is worth to test.
